Prospective Students - Student Visa Information
If you wish to study in Greece you must have a valid student visa (it must be a student visa and not any other kind of visa).
A student visa is a three months single entry visa, with which you have the right to apply for a residence permit (valid for one year and renewed until the end of your studies) when you arrive in Greece
The Greek Government issues student visas for full-time study on the understanding that you study on-campus (and not on a distance-learning mode for example) and have sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees and living expenses while in Greece.
To apply for a visa, contact the nearest Greek Diplomatic Mission (Embassy, Consulate or Consulate-General, Liaison Office).
Furthermore all students must carefully check the individual visa requirements relevant to their country of origin, and the education sector for which they are applying:
